Apple Music and the iOS App Store had issues

If you are an Apple user, you may have encountered problems in the App Store or with Apple Music. Monday, Apple system status page listed issues affecting “all users” for both services noticed as of 11:41 a.m. ET without going into details about the issues. In our tests, the App Store and Apple Music were both generally operational, but users noticed issues for several hours before they were resolved.

9to5Mac earlier reported that Apple’s Sensitivity Labels were not appearing on many App Store listings and quoted a source confirming that this was a bug that would soon be fixed.

Posters on Reddit had issues with missing lyrics information from Apple Music, Dolby Atmosand lossless audio from songs where it should have these features, while some report that they are unable to play music even if it is downloaded to their local storage for offline listening. Some users said connecting and disconnecting fixed missing lossless audio features for them, but not missing lyrics. We were able to confirm the issue with the lyrics as shown below.

Now Apple’s status page has been updated, marking the issues with both services as resolved. The issue timeline is now shown as 4:15 AM to 12:02 PM, which may be what users experienced if it is set to Pacific Time. From our side, the lyrics functions are working and the privacy tags are back in place, and I hope your downloaded songs will play again.
