A host of new artists have been added to the line-up for this year’s Download Festival.
The rock festival is making a comeback in 2022, with artists like Skindred, YONAKA, Will Haven, Kid Brunswick, Bimini and Dana Dentata all set to hit the stage in June.
Skindred frontman Benji Webbe said: “Playing the download pilot after being locked up for a year and a half has been an incredible experience, so to be invited back to our favorite festival and spiritual home to play alongside KISS and Maiden is a dream come true.
“Plus, we have some amazing new tracks that we can’t wait for you all to hear.”
YONAKA singer Theresa Jarvis is also looking forward to performing at the three-day festival, which will be held June 10-12.
She said: “Aghhhh Download! Some of us have been going there since we were 14 so it’s an absolute pleasure to perform there again. The energy is always amazing and a musical lineup so exciting.”
Other acts that have been added to the bill include SKYND, Red Fang, Orbit Culture, Banks Arcade, The Velveteers, Heriot, Dirty Honey, and Alestorm.
However, the upcoming festival is headlined by KISS, Iron Maiden, and Biffy Clyro.
And KISS’s Gene Simmons has previously admitted he’s eager to take the download stage this summer.
The 72-year-old star said: “I’ve said it before, the Download Festival audience is the best. They’re ready for anything thrown at them. KISS are coming fully prepared to rock their world in 2022. to say thank you for always being there for us.”
