Great food, delicious beer, and friendly staff are just some of the icing on the cake of live music at Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, PA. With a smile on their face and stomachs full of chesesteaks, Tweed and Jimkata get ready to take the stage.
Tweed opened the night with his Disco / Funk improvisations and hosted singer Rachael Green to sing a few songs, including a cover of Toxic by Britney Spears. His vocal range and stage presence added a new layer to Tweed which fits in perfectly.
After a hiatus of almost four years, I am extremely happy to say that Jimkata is back. Friends since middle school, Evan Friedel, Aaron Gorsch and Packy Lunn have formed a bond that resonates with love and joy, which overflows in every place they play. On their December 4th show, Jimkata gave his fans an extra heavy tempo set full of tasty guitar riffs and funky moog breakdowns that got the whole room dancing.
It looks like the almost 4-year hiatus was a great time for the band to recall their thoughts, go back to their roots, and rekindle that passion they have of playing together. From the moment they take the stage you can tell that they are delighted to be back with their fans and greatly appreciate the opportunity to continue playing music together. The sky is the limit for Jimkata and I am personally happy to be in the game.
