It seems that our desi music industry, especially Bhushan Kumar led T-series, will never get tired of remixing and revamping classic songs. T-Series released the “updated” version of RD Burman’s old song “Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai” on Monday, which was beautifully performed by legendary vocalists Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar.
In the new version of the song, the tempo is much slower than the original. But to be fair, it’s not a bad remix per say as Rashmi Virag’s lyrics are decent, if lacking in imagination. And since Armaan Malik is a gifted singer, the song turned out better than expected.

The music video for “Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai,” featuring Sunny Kaushal and Nushrratt Bharuccha, is straightforward. There’s not much to say here except that things could have been worse, and thank goodness they aren’t. But it’s time we stopped getting mixed up in the classics and put more effort into bringing out original music.
Meanwhile, Armaan Malik seems to be happy with the result. The singer told Glamsham.com: “Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai is an iconic composition by RD Burman sung by Lata di and Kishore da and performing it in a modern approach was definitely a daunting task. But I’m extremely proud of our result. final and I hope that the public will connect to it.
