Country singer topped the charts Lainey Wilson brought its country flavor to CMA Country Christmas with a seductive performance of George Strait’s holiday classic, “Christmas Cookies”.
The Louisiana native was thrilled to have the opportunity to perform for the very first time on the annual vacation special.
“I am delighted that my family at my home in Northeast Louisiana is watching the show, hearing me,” Wilson admitted ahead of the airing.
Wilson continued, “I sing ‘Christmas Cookies’ by George Strait, which is just a song my family and I love, and we listen to it during Christmas time, so it’s going to be cool for them to watch me at the TV and sing one of our favorite Christmas carols.

Wilson released a cover of “Christmas Cookies” shortly after his debut single, “Things A Man Oughta Know,” topped the Mediabase and Billboard Country radio charts. It was a monumental moment as Wilson became the first new female solo artist to achieve a Number 1 since Gabby Barrett with “I Hope” in April 2020.
Gabby Barrett and Carly Pearce have joined forces to co-host CMA Country Christmas, which airs Monday, November 29 on ABC.
The star-studded show also included festive performances by Barrett, Pearce, Jimmie Allen with Louis York and The Shindellas, BRELAND, Brett Eldredge, Lady A, Pistol Annies and Carrie Underwood.
Starting November 30, CMA Country Christmas will be available to watch anytime on demand and available to stream on Hulu.
