Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour will not perform at the Royal Oak Music Theater


ROYAL OAK, Mich. – Many were eager to grab tickets when it was promoted that pink floydit’s David Gilmour would go on stage Royal Oak Musical Theater. They were extremely disappointed to learn that David Gilmour would not be performing.

Fans want refunds and they’ve contacted help me hank investigate.

“I thought it was David Gilmour who was going to play Dark Side of the Moon. I was kind of excited about that,” Tracy Papa said.

Dad, like many Pink Floyd fans, was excited when she saw a post online advertising a show featuring Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour and an all-star band. The entrance concert is performed by a cover band. David Gilmour does not perform and is in no way affiliated with the series.

Fans, feeling lied to, took to social media to vent their frustrations. One person said they wanted the venue to fix the issue. Another said they requested a refund from the Royal Oak Music Theater and it was denied. They shared an email from the show’s promoter saying their refund request had not been approved.

Local 4 contacted the Royal Oak Music Theater and were told an investigation was underway. On Thursday (March 10), they released the following statement.

“There was a miscommunication between the two promoters of this event and the promotion was not accurate. We apologize for any confusion caused. We are now offering a full refund to all interested ticket holders,” said the Royal Oak Music Theatre.
