Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band Announce Winter / Spring Tour and New Video, “Rattle Can”

Two nominees for the Blues Music Awards Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band are the biggest blues band in the world. The band is led by Reverend Peyton, who most consider the best finger picker playing today. He forged a reputation as both a particularly convincing performer and persuasive evangelist for the rooted country blues styles that captured his imagination from an early age and inspired him and his band to making pilgrimages to Clarksdale, Mississippi, to study with blues masters such as Ford Model T, Robert Belfour and David “Honeyboy” Edwards.

Now the Big Damn Band is back with a new video for the song “Rattle Can” from their latest album, Dance Songs for Hard Times. The album, which debuted at # 1 on the Billboard and iTunes Blues charts, was produced by Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton).

According to the Reverend, “We are ready and ready. I mean, check out our latest video if you don’t believe me. Can’t wait to get out there.

Some of the spring dates have Zach Person as their backing. Emerging from Austin, TX, Person plays loud and raw, connecting with his fans at a primitive sound level. Person’s eponymous debut LP was released on April 2, 2021 and has since garnered press attention from afar. “Reminding everyone from Elmore James and Duane Allman to the Black Keys and Jack White, Person channels a die-hard American swagger,” said the American songwriter.

In May, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band supports The Dead South, a two-time gold certified Canadian and American string quartet from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
