A weekend of rock and roll dancing, classic cars and upbeat music is coming to Nambucca Heads RSL Club the weekend of April 29, May 30 & 1. Rock and roll returns to Nambucca Heads in April, with a lively schedule of things to see and opportunities to hear exceptional musicians and dance your heart out to ‘Rockin at Nambucca’. Let’s Dance Rock and Roll Nambucca and Nambucca Heads RSL Club presents a rock and roll dance weekend in the RSL Club Auditorium, all in accordance with State Government & RSL Club Protocols. This year will see the return of classic cars, muscle cars, hotrods and Show & Shine motorcycles, following last year’s hiatus due to Covid. Come and discover the pride and joy of automobile enthusiasts from here and elsewhere on Saturday morning in the parking lot of the RSL Club. It is expected that there will be a wide variety of vehicles on display as there have been very few auto shows in the last couple of years. For anyone interested in participating, there is no need to be a member of a car or bike club, just bring your classic or muscle vehicle to the parking lot around 10:00 a.m. and join other like-minded enthusiasts. A limited number of tickets are still available for the Saturday Night Dance with Sydney/Central Coast band ‘Rave On’. Reservations & tickets are available by contacting Helen on 0417 646 424. There are no ticket sales. tickets at the door. Rock and Roll Weekend Schedule: Beginning Friday night, there are five events to attend over the weekend. Friday April 29: The Drive-Ins are a very popular local rock and roll group from the 50s and 60s who will take the stage from 7:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Tables for that night can only be reserved through the Nambucca RSL Club on (02) 65 686-288. Saturday, April 30: 10:30 a.m.: The classic, muscle car, hotrod and bike show will be held in the Nambucca RSL Club parking lot from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.: Saturday night, rock and roll band, Rave On. Sunday May 1 at 11 a.m.: On Sunday morning, dance enthusiasts can take part in a rock and roll/couple dance workshop. Let’s Dance Rock and Roll will provide you with an hour of expertise to help you learn a medium level rock and roll move and a new dance with a partner. See you at this event, no need to book. 1:00 p.m.: Sunday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. will wrap up the 50s and 60s weekend with John Curtin, a talented and favorite local artist.
